A Saga of Juagnetė

A long time ago in a galaxy
not so far away...

Two babies were born just one day apart in September 1988.
The Force was immediately suspicious, but said nothing.

Years later, in 2012, both moved to the UK. The Force winked. Nothing dramatic happened. Yet.

Then in Redhill, Surrey, the infamous High Five Salsa group brought two unsuspecting people into the same orbit, via questionable footwork.

How we met

They first met in July 2022. Juanma tried to impress Agnetė with his driving skills. Agnetė spent the day chatting with his best mate instead.
The car performance remains unreviewed.

Our first adventure together

Shortly after, Agnetė gifted Juanma a bottle of egg gummies: “You are a good egg.”

Some eggs are too powerful to be eaten. That bottle remains sealed for public safety.

When we knew

Over a year later, Juanma asked her out. Agnetė took the opportunity to ask him to help build a bookshelf.

Twenty hours later, it was finally complete. They still can’t stop staring at it... Or each other... But mostly the bookshelf.

Still, the timing wasn’t quite right.

The proposal

In 2024, things escalated.

Eurovision nights. A midnight speech at a hamster’s burial site. A Northern Lights sighting over Redhill.

The universe: trying one last, slightly panicked attempt.

When we knew

On 1st June 2024, after Reigate Beer Festival, Juanma and Agnetė shared their first secret kiss — with cider quietly in the background, doing most of the work.

From there, everything unfolded naturally: travel adventures, family meetings, festivals, moving in together, Pixie the hamster, and general life chaos in excellent company.

And then, on 7th April 2026, Juanma got down on one knee… at which point the universe finally stopped interfering and just watched in silence.

Agnetė replied: “Unbelievable!… OK.”

What to Wear & How to Be

Celebration Code

👗

Dress Code

Formal or Cocktail

Gentlemen: dust off your finest suit — you are cleared for landing.
Ladies: an elegant dress, a stylish jumpsuit, or a gorgeous suit. Whatever makes you feel utterly fabulous and ready for departure.

A small note from the countryside briefing: block heels are far better suited for outdoor terrain than stilettos. And do bring a warm layer or stole — November nights are crisp, and temperatures drop quickly once the sun has signed off for the evening.

📵

Phones Away, Memories On
(we’ve got this covered)

We kindly ask that phones be kept away or used only for essential moments throughout the day — emergencies, not memories.

Not because we don’t trust your photography skills (we don’t), but because we’d love for you to be fully present with us as the story unfolds.

Our professional photographer will be capturing everything beautifully, and we’ll share all the photos with you afterwards. Nothing will be missed — everything will be remembered.

📸

Photobooth Fun

A photobooth has been deployed, complete with silly props and an instruction manual titled “Unleash Yourself.” Please use it liberally — the more ridiculous, the more historically accurate.

The photobooth is the official recording device for the day. Personal phone photography is discouraged unless strictly necessary (or absolutely unhinged).

Tagging and sharing can wait. Your only mission is to participate fully in the chaos.

A Note for International Guests

Madrid in November

For our friends travelling from the UK, Lithuania, and beyond — Madrid in late November has nothing to fear. It’s genuinely lovely: crisp, bright autumn days, deep blue skies, and cool evenings.
Think of it as the rare kind of autumn that actually behaves for photos.
Here’s what to expect:

🌡️
Daytime High
13–16°C
🌙
Evening Low
4–8°C
☀️
Sunshine
~6 hrs/day
🌧️
Rain Chance
Low–Moderate
🧥

Packing Advice (We've Thought of You)

For our UK guests: imagine a good British autumn day, but with actual sunshine and a sky that has remembered how to be blue. You’ll feel right at home — just pleasantly upgraded. Bring a proper coat for the evening; once the sun sets, it gets properly crisp, and you’ll want to enjoy the outdoor spaces comfortably. For our Lithuanian guests: this will feel almost suspiciously mild, but do not be deceived. Late November evenings in San Agustín de Guadalix can still get properly cold, and shivering is rarely a winning dance-floor aesthetic. For everyone: layers are your allies. A stylish coat or wrap for the evening is essential, and comfortable shoes are non-negotiable — dancing will happen, whether pre-approved or not.

Getting Here & Staying There

Travel & Accommodation

✈️

Flying to Madrid

Madrid Barajas (MAD) is the main international airport, excellently connected from across Europe. From the UK, multiple airlines fly direct daily (British Airways, Iberia, Vueling, easyJet, Ryanair).

From Lithuania, fly from Vilnius (VNO) or Kaunas (KUN) — typically one stop via a hub. Ryanair and Wizz Air often have good options worth checking early.

🚖

Airport to City Centre

🚇 Metro Line 8: Runs from T1–T2–T3 directly to Nuevos Ministerios. Fast, reliable, ~€3–5. The best value option.

🚕 Taxi: Fixed rate of €33 from any terminal to anywhere in central Madrid. No meter surprises, very easy.

📱 Uber / Cabify: Both work well in Madrid. Download before you land — often competitive on price.

🚌 Exprés Aeropuerto: €5, runs 24h, goes to Atocha & Cibeles. Slower, but scenic and very cheap.

🚗

City to the Venue

The finca is roughly 35 minutes north of Madrid via the A-1 motorway (exit toward San Agustín de Guadalix).

🚕 Taxi / Uber: Most convenient option. Pre-book your return journey — Friday nights in Madrid can be busy and wait times longer.

🚗 Driving: Free parking on-site. Ideal if you're staying nearby and not planning to drink (unusual, but we respect the commitment).

🚌 Coach shuttle: See below — we may organise one!

🚌 Private Coach Shuttle

Depending on numbers, we’re looking into arranging a private coach from Plaza de Castilla to the finca — and back again after the party. No taxis, no stress, no heroic debates about who is “absolutely fine to drive.” Someone will still miss the bus. It’s tradition.

If you think you’d use it, please tick the box when you RSVP. The more people who flag interest, the sooner we can confirm and book. Final details will follow closer to the date.

Central Madrid — Plaza de Castilla Area

A great base for exploring Madrid before and after the wedding. Well served by metro and right by the coach pick-up point.

NH Hotel Eurobuilding
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

A stylish five-star property on Paseo de la Castellana, just south of Plaza de Castilla. Excellent restaurant, rooftop pool, and the kind of breakfast that makes you question every life choice that led you to hostal living. A proper treat.

Ilunion Pío XII
⭐⭐⭐⭐

A reliable, well-priced four-star hotel just off Plaza de Castilla. Spacious rooms, friendly staff, and excellent transport links. Solid choice for families or anyone who wants easy access to both the city and the coach stop without paying five-star prices.

💡

More Options

We also recommend browsing Airbnb and Booking.com for apartments and additional hotels — there are excellent options in the Chamartín, Hortaleza, and Barrio del Pilar neighbourhoods. Apartments are particularly good for families or groups wanting more space and a kitchen for Sunday morning recovery.

Wherever you stay, make sure it has easy access to the A-1 motorway north or is near Plaza de Castilla for the wedding day transport. If in doubt, ask us!

Questions & Answers

Things You're Wondering

We absolutely adore your children — and a small number of very special younglings from close family will be joining us, which we’re really looking forward to.

That said, this is primarily an adult celebration. Most of the day and evening is planned for grown-up guests, so everyone can properly relax, let their hair down, and enjoy the night without negotiations over bedtime or snack diplomacy.

We know this may require some planning and genuinely appreciate your understanding. If you have any specific circumstances or questions, please feel free to get in touch with us directly.
We’re kindly asking for a fully unplugged ceremony — phones away, pockets closed, cameras politely retired. If it helps, your phone can consider this a short break.

Our professional photographer will capture everything, and we’ll share the full gallery afterwards so nothing is missed (or accidentally badly angled).

After the ceremony, please unleash yourself at the photobooth — props provided, dignity optional.
The ceremony will be conducted primarily in English, with possible cameos from Spanish and Lithuanian for cultural authenticity and maximum audience confusion. Don't worry — you'll understand all the important parts, especially the bit where someone says "Unbelievable… OK” aka “I do."
Please use the message field in the RSVP form above, or feel free to reach out to us directly.

We promise to reply faster than we do in group chats. Admittedly, that’s not saying much, but for you we’ll make a genuine effort.
